Boston Bombing

Yesterday was a sad sad day for many people. On April 15, 2013 a marathon was in place when a bomb blew up near the finish line. "2 people killed and 105 hurt," said the reporter from a ABC 30 Action News. One of the people and was killed was an 8 year old boy who was waiting for his father to finish the race. His sister's limb was blown off and his mother in critical condition. The other person that died that day was a young man waiting for his girlfriend to finish. He had plans to propose to her when she finish the 26.2 marathon, sadly he never got the chance to marry her because when the bomb blew up he died. It was a terrible and tragic day for those families and many more as well. I would just like to say RIP my heart is with you guys.

  1. That is one of the most horrible things I have ever heard about. The person who did that most have not had a heart because if you can just go to a marathon and kill bunches of people with no problem, than they deserve to rots in a prison cell for the rest of their life.

  2. I completely agree. That group of people should be killed in the most horrible way. They deserve it.

  3. That is unforgivable. People shouldn't go around bombing places. I the bomber is found and but to trial and then go to jail forever. If I knew who did it because they joked about it(not that I do)I would be at the police station telling them who. I can't believe someone could do such a thing.

    1. Oh yeah my mom said she saw Caroline on the news today (or yesterday) for the 2nd or 3rd time.

  5. I totaly agree. Whoever did that deserves to have them bombed for no reason on a day that meant so much to them. It is awful to think that this is what the world has come to, with random bombings and such. 107 people killed or injured, but hundreds of people's lives were changed, including that of those who had nothing to do with the bombing or the runners. All we can do is hope that nothing like this will ever happen again, be thankful that it didn't happen to us or those we love, and pray for those who it did and that were lost and hurt.

  7. I feel so sad because I can't help them. Yes, I'll wear purple and pray for them, but that is pretty much all we can do. I did hear about the Man proposing to his girlfriend, and his death. That is so tragic. Everybody who was there has their lives changed forever. They will never forget it. The thing that I'm wondering is, who would do such a thing. Just like the 26 kids and teachers dying, people care for them. We all love them and will pray for them.

  8. I feel so bad that people died and one was a child (which is VERY sad when they die) and a man who was going to propose to his girlfriend after the race(broke my heart). The boyfriend's death reminded me of the Sandy Hook school I think one of the teachers died and her boyfriend was going to propose soon. I agree with Mia RIP. I am very disaponted in our generation for doing something like this it sets a bad example. I hope this is will not happen again and like Desdamona said be thankful that it didn't happen to our loved ones. Pray for all the families who were injured or knew someone who was. God bless America.

  9. I am wearing purple now. I know it is all I can do, but I wish there was more.I wonder, how could someone live with themselves knowing they killed a man who was about to propose to his girlfriend, a young boy with his whole life ahead of him, and injur so many innocent people? They never did anything to the person who did this, so why did they have to rip thiers and their family's lives apart?

  11. Monday, Boston, 5 people dead, killed by two bombs, and 150 people critically injured. That day was a devastating day in America and would make history forever. About four more bombs were placed but, for some reason, didn't detonate. A close family friend, Leslie, ran the marathon. Her group barely passed the finish line. As Leslie turned around, to see the last person in her group, the bomb exploded and sent the runners flying. This is a sign that our generation is so messed up, people would want to bomb places because they're bitter or angry with someone. No one really knows if the attack was terrorism, or local. It matters because this situation, could be the beginning of a war. It only takes one person to stand up for what's right. So I hope, that the people we hang out will, won't devastate America and will encourage us to do the right thing...

    1. Oh wow Darin you really had to correct me. It doesn't matter how many people were killed it is still horrible.

  12. This is a tragic event. It is an ugly example of how a person makes a difference.

What about making a difference for good? Remember ONE person can make a difference - even if it is in a small way.If lots of ONE PERSONS do something good and small each day, who knows what BIG GOOD DIFFERENCE it can make?

  13. That is really sad. I can't believe someone would ever do that. (It's like, what has our generation turned into? Monsters?) -Joy

  14. This is a horrible thing! But I think that 3 people were killed. (Which makes it worse.) I think that this could of been me sitting in the crowd, having no clue that something this horrendous was going to happen. Tons of innocent people getting injured after doing no harm or nothing wrong. Oh wow, I didn't know my dog was sitting in front of me until just right now... I am also thinking of another awful though. Who would even think of having hundreds of people harmed, for no reason at all? (Or maybe they did have a reason.) Sadly more and more things like this are going to happen. In choir yesterday we discussed this same topic. We were talking about that this could of been planed by a group of people. Maybe there will be cameras that can lead to evidence of the bomb in the trashcan. If anybody confesses to the U.S. that they or a group of people did this, ( Which I doubt will happen.) it is not like all these horrifying memories will just go away. Even if they are sorry, they are still going to have to pay the price. Like what Desdamona and Elisabeth are saying, I am so thankful that someone I knew wasn't hurt. Just imagine if you had a family member injured in the marathon. How torn these people are. Especially the people who got injured. This scary memory will stick in their heads forever. When the explosions happened, many people were running away from it, while many went towards it. They were helping the people in the explosion. :) The only good I found out of this was that people were brave enough to help people, so they went towards the explosion, and someone from the valley got either 37th or 47th. (Which is really good.)
